Jewellery-Making Courses with Me
I’m so happy to welcome you to my coastal jewellery studio in Charlestown, St Austell — a calm, creative space where you can slow down, make something beautiful, and learn at your own pace.
I teach in small groups, using traditional silversmithing methods and a relaxed, encouraging style that adapts to how you learn best. Whether you’re picking up tools for the first time or building confidence with more advanced projects, I’ll guide you step by step until it all clicks.

Charlestown Studio
Five relaxed weekly sessions to help you learn the essentials of silversmithing — sawing, soldering, forming and polishing silver. You’ll make your own pieces from start to finish, working at your own pace with plenty of guidance and space to ask questions.
Groups are kept small (maximum of five people) so everyone gets hands-on help and time to really absorb each skill. All tools and basic materials are included.

Charlestown Studio
This week is designed for absolute beginners or anyone wanting to refresh their basic skills. Over five creative days we’ll cover all the core techniques — sawing, soldering, texturing, and finishing — as you make several pieces of silver jewellery.
Each day builds gently on the last, with time to experiment, repeat, and ask as many questions as you like. I keep the group small and friendly so you can relax, focus, and enjoy the rhythm of making.
By Friday, you’ll leave with new skills, finished silver pieces, and that wonderful feeling of “I made this!”
Summer School – Silversmithing Intermediate / Advanced

If you already have some silversmithing experience and want to stretch your skills, this week is for you. We’ll explore more advanced soldering, forming and finishing techniques, along with creative extras like stone setting, hinge making and hollow construction.
You’ll have time to design and create your own pieces with plenty of one-to-one support, in a calm, inspiring environment by the sea. Many students describe it as a retreat — creative, grounding and full of gentle focus.
