Supported Jewellery Studio Time

Guided Bench Sessions offer focused studio time for anyone who would like to work independently on their jewellery projects, with experienced technical guidance available when needed.

You bring your own ideas. You work at your own pace. I’m there to demonstrate, troubleshoot, refine technique and help you think through construction challenges.

It’s a calm, supportive space to develop confidence and improve the quality of your work.

What These Sessions Are For

Guided Bench Sessions are ideal if you:

• Have completed one of my courses
• Have trained elsewhere and would like access to a studio
• Feel comfortable working safely at the bench
• Want support with more complex soldering or construction
• Would value experienced input while developing your own designs

You don’t need to call yourself a jeweller to attend — but you should already feel confident using tools safely and independently.

Maximum 4 per session.

I teach jewellery making in Cornwall, welcoming students from St Austell, Mevagissey, Charlestown, Truro and across the South West.

What You Can Work On

Students use these sessions to:

• Refine finishing standards
• Improve soldering control
• Work on multi-part construction
• Develop more complex designs
• Solve technical challenges
• Build confidence before progressing to specialist techniques

I’m there to teach and demonstrate higher-level skills as needed — this isn’t just light supervision.

Sessions run for 2 hours in small groups.

You work independently and I move between students offering demonstrations and technical guidance where needed.

These are not structured beginner classes — they’re supported studio time.

No. You’re very welcome if you’ve trained elsewhere, provided you’re confident working safely.

These sessions are better suited to those who already have some jewellery-making experience.

Can you teach specific techniques during these sessions?

Yes. I’m happy to demonstrate and guide more complex techniques when appropriate.
